Street Photography in Boulder

So it’s my first time in the States and I am already falling in love with the place. Tried my hands on street photography using my new 35mm nikon prime lens. Posting few pictures that I took at Pearl street mall and Chautauqua park in Boulder over the weekend. The Pearl Street Mall (also referred to as Pearl Street, or Downtown Boulder) is a four block pedestrian mall in Boulder, Colorado. The pedestrian area stretches from 11th Street to 15th Street along Pearl Street and is home to a number of businesses and restaurants as well as the Boulder County Courthouse. Pearl street is such a lively place to be at. There are street performers doing various entertaining acts. Then there is some cultural music and dance festival going on somewhere down the street. To add to the liveliness of the place, there are various street stalls apart from the branded stores and plethora of options to eat. A must visit for all those dropping by this beautiful town.

Chautauqua Park is a beautiful and memorable place to go for a hike. The Chautauqua Trail may be the most popular and there’s a reason. It goes right up the meadow toward the flatirons. The scenery is breathtaking and the hike will take your breath away. There’s 440 feet of elevation gain in 0.6 miles. When you need to catch your breath, take a break, take a photo and take in the scenery! Boulder Creek is a 31.4-mile-long (50.5 km) creek draining the Rocky Mountains to the west of Boulder, Colorado, as well as the city itself and surrounding plains. Boulder Creek forms much of the natural beauty of downtown Boulder. It is a popular summer recreational spot for many outdoor activities, including tubing, fly fishing, and wading. The Boulder Creek Festival takes place during the summer along the creek in Central Park.
